Kansa (cun-sah)
Kansa, an alloy of copper and tin, has been used in India since the Bronze Age, around 3300 BCE, making it one of the earliest metal alloys developed by ancient Indian civilizations. It was prominently utilised during the Indus Valley Civilisation (2600–1900 BCE) for creating utensils, weapons, jewelry, and religious artifacts. References to Kansa appear in the Vedas and Ayurvedic texts, highlighting its durability, corrosion resistance, and skin & health benefits. Today, Kansa utensils are still valued for their ability to enhance food's nutritional value, for balancing skin pH and improving skin texture.
Kesar (kay-surr)
Part of the Iris family Iridaceae, the Saffron (Khus) flower is mostly known for the stigmas cultivated to the Saffron spice. It has been grown and cultivated for 3,500 years and used in India for centuries.
The Saffron used in our Serum is cultivated in Kashmir - known for the most potent Saffron in the world.

The Kansa wand is made from teak wood and a copper alloy - Kansa, both are recyclable. The adhesive bonding the Kansa element to the wooden handle is made from natural ingredients.
The oil bottle is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box.
The bottle itself is made from Amber glass. This stops UV light from damaging the ingredients inside and keeps them stable. The bottle is also recyclable.
What we're working on: The plastic cap. Having done 2 years worth of research we haven't yet identified a more sustainable, affordable alternative. We aren't giving up though - watch this space!

How do I clean it?
Just wipe the wand with a soft cloth after use. If it gets tarnished, clean it with a mix of lemon juice and baking soda or a brass cleaner easy to keep in top shape!
Why do I see grey marks on my face?
That’s normal! The grey residue is a sign of detoxification — the metal reacting with acids on your skin as it pulls out toxins. Just wipe it off with a damp cloth after your massage.
Can I use it on my body too?
Absolutely! It’s great for the face, but you can also use it on other areas like your neck, shoulders, or anywhere you want to boost circulation and relax muscles.
How often should I use it?
