How to use: Lather over wet skin, massage gently, then rinse thoroughly. Use daily for best results. Store on a well-drained soap dish to extend its life.
Careful now: If the soap or lather gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with water. Our soaps have been dermatologically tested, however if you experience any irritation or redness, stop using the soap and seek medical help. Keep out of reach of small children. Always consult your doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy. All our soaps are wash off soaps but take special care not to leave Turmeric soap on the skin or on porcelain for too long as it can stain.
Our soap bars last on average 6 weeks depending on usage.

Haldi (Hull-dee)
Turmeric - also known as Haldi - is a flowering plant, from the Ginger root family. It can grow up to 1m tall and produces tall, white, pink or yellow flower petals. The roots resemble ginger, and grow into fleshy oblong tubes. The roots are what are ground down and heated to create the Turmeric spice. India is the world’s largest exporter of Turmeric in the world; roughly 70% of the world’s Turmeric comes from here. In India, it is often referred to as Haldi, pronounced Hull-dee and is used in curries, as a colouring agent and in skincare to increase lustre to the skin.

Does it dry your skin out? Soaps have a bad reputation for this but this is mostly exclusive to factory produced soap bars that need to use specific ingredients to reduce costs and improve efficiency. At Saabuni, our soap bars are all handmade to avoid dry patches, plus we use Babassu Oil and Almond Oil to help improve skin nourishment.
What results should I expect? I get it - Using new skincare is always a juggle at first because you're so used to one way of doing things. But with consistency, your skin will look and feel better, you've just got to stick with it.
I'm breaking out more than before, why is this? This is good! It means the soap is working. Stay consistent and your skin will start to heal and feel better.

Our Essential Oils have been carefully picked for Skin and Self care. Essential Oils included in this product are:
Magnolia Essential Oil originates in ancient Asia and comes from the Magnolia flower which usually blooms on the Magnolia tree every 15 to 30 years. Magnolia promotes peace and harmony, even skin tone, keeps skin radiant and moisturised.
Frankincense Essential Oil comes from the Boswellia Carterii tree which can be found in parts of Pakistan and Somalia. It has been found to lift and tighten skin, reversing the signs of ageing. It's also known to keep skin healthy, reducing blemishes and the appearance of large pores. Frankincense Essential Oil also soothes, nourishes, tones and calms skin.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil comes from the Kananga tree in Madagascar. It is a natural skin cleanser that boosts the regeneration of skin. It's also well known for regulating oil production of the skin and it's anti ageing properties.
Turmeric Essential Oil comes from the root of the Turmeric flower. It is known for it's antibacterial properties as well as for cleansing, clarifying, calming and brightening the skin. It can also help remove excess natural skin oil and support skin health.
In addition all Essential oils are known for their anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Hey, my story or journey is somewhat crazy- I had used a hot water bottle between my legs daily for a whole year. This was not a good idea as it burnt my skin and left me with dark spider web looking scars also known as (endothermic burns). This shattered my confidence completely and I was unable to wear shorts or anything. Despite using the most expensive products to lighten the scars and big big brands like “FW beauty”- absolutely nothing worked. I became very insecure and lost all hope until one day as a joke I asked sabuni if I should try her turmeric soap. At first I was hesitant but because I had been browsing her website a lot I was tempted. So here goes- I made my first purchase of the Turmeric hand and body soap. Daily and religiously I have been using this soap on my thighs. You will not believe the results- in just one month of use my scars have reduced significantly leaving only 30%. Believe me when I say the scars were severe almost black and just by using this soap for a month they have turned to light brown almost gone!!!

Beautifully presented soap. Have only been using for a few days but the results are wonderful. Cleanses my face, yet gentle - feels very natural. I have sensitive skin and so far so good. Has helped with a dry skin condition. I bought a few bars and they arrived well packaged and quickly. Highly recommend this company.
